Logo Competition Winner Announced

Logo competition winner announced!

The ACoRNS project is all about involving the community in our activities and so who better to ask when we needed a logo to represent and promote the project! During March 2017 we ran a logo competition that was advertised to all local schools and colleges in Southampton, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

We asked that the logo be produced by children and young people aged up to 19 years of age and that the logo be individual and creative. It was especially important that the logo reflected the main aim of ACoRNS, which is the empowerment of children and young people with autism.

We received many entries from different schools, and from children and young people aged 7 to 15 years. We were really impressed with the standard and creativity of the entries and it was very hard to decide on a winner.

After a group vote, we agreed the winner was Joshua, aged 9, from Hordle Primary School, nr Lymington. We loved this logo because it was bright, colourful, cheery and, crucially, had children right at its heart.

Josh was presented with his winning prize of a brand new Kindle Fire at a whole-school assembly on Tuesday April 25th by Sarah Parsons. The school also received £200 in Amazon vouchers to thank them for their support. As you can see, Josh was delighted with his prize and the best thing was he had no idea beforehand that he had actually won the competition! Well done Josh!
