|I work at Hill House School in the New Forest which is a 52 week residential school for students with autism and severe learning difficulties.
I completed a BEd hons teacher training degree 23 years ago and have worked in special education my whole career. I have worked in the field of autism for most of this time and have worked at Hill House for 16 years.
I also have a Master’s degree in Autism from the University of Birmingham and have been involved in several overseas training projects helping others to embed strategies to support students with autism.
I am committed to supporting young people to grow and develop and at Hill House we work hard to ensure that all our students make progress. We believe that all students have the right to access a curriculum that is fun and exciting and pride ourselves in providing a wealth of experiences for all our young people.
|What does the ACoRNS project mean to you?
|The ACoRNS project will give us the opportunity to be involved in research and current initiatives. It will also enable the school to work collaboratively with other schools in the local area which is very exciting
Through these opportunities we hope to be able to grow and develop further and be able to work together with other professionals to share knowledge and expertise in order to aim for the best possible outcomes for all children and young people with autism.

|We are dedicated to improving the lives of young people with autism and feel strongly that their families should be involved every step of the way. At Hill House families of our students come from all over the country and we are particularly interested in working with our student’s siblings in order to develop support, guidance and inclusio.
